The Coat perches atop the tallest spire of the largest cathedral in the Dark City. The nobodies of this city vary greatly, coming from a wide diversity of places and times. Many of them still feel the call of their cultures and religions. In this strange new world they now find themselves, is it so strange that they wish to recreate familiar places that give them a sense of safety and stability? Religious sites like this cathedral have sprung up all over the city, though none nearly as large or grand.
The Coat too feels an attraction to the cathedral, though it has nothing to do with the life he previously led (Kage was never very reverential). The Coat has its hood aimed up at the night sky and the emptiness within seems to be gazing at the wispy clouds floating across the stars. Religious sites like the cathedral are closer to the other side than anywhere else. They are the closest The Coat will ever come.
They also make the perfect spots to receive messages from the other side. A piece of paper drifts down from the clouds and the Coat reaches out a sleeve to halt its descent. As always, there is a single name written on the page. Doctor Jefosx Reithe. As soon as the Coat reads the name, the paper dissolves into dust. The Coat has a moment to stiffen up in shock uopn realizing the name is that of a nobody, but then the blessing of Death descends upon him. An image of his target appears in his mind and all other thoughts fade from his mind. The Organization coat he wears darkens into a black that seems to suck at the edges of the human mind. Within that coat, a form condenses from shadows, solidifying into a body void of any features. The form reaches forward and from the air draws forth a white scythe.
This new version of The Coat drops silently to the Dark City streets. He knows exactly where his target is located and begins moving toward the center of the city. He doesn't walk or even glide, but rather flows. He doesn't try to hide his presence or even his intent. Those who look will always see the approach of Death.
